There goes the neighborhood

Oh sure, now that Ubuntu is popular, everybody wants to be in on it. ;)

Still, nearly 12,000 users online at once, with a subscriber base of 410,000 accounts … that’s very impressive.

Yeah, I remember when Ubuntu was new. Now everybody wants a slice. Just like when the World Cup rolls around, all of a sudden everyone’s a big fan.

Hmph.

    Ubuntu is becoming so popular cos _it just works_.

    I’m only one of two people in my _whole social group_ who uses Linux at all, so I’m still basking in the warm and fuzzy glow of exclusivity, anyway ;-)
