Ubuntu vandalism

I accompanied some friends to a local electronics shop yesterday, and while they looked at digital cameras, I put the Japanese team’s Ubuntu home page on a giant Apple desktop machine. I didn’t know how to set the home page in Safari or I would have done that too. (It took me about two minutes just to find the start icon for the thing. 😕 )

Juvenile, I know. And I don’t have photos of my daring raid on the fragile world of Apple users. But use your imagination: A giant white computer, way too stylish and way too expensive, with the Ubuntu logo and home page about 45 centimeters across. … 😈

This post made me laugh. It reminded me of a guy that had a blog about Comp Hijacking. Basically what he did was burn a lot of Knoppix and make stores’ computers boot them. He would go to stores like Best Buy and when nobody was looking he would put his Live CD and make it boot from there.

He would also write with a marker on the CD to explain what he had done.

Googling a little I found the link: http://www.manucornet.net/pcjacking/
