I can&#039;t seem to figure out quite WHY but just about any operation dealing with the playlist seems to freeze BPD for me. Anyone else have a similar experience?]]></description>

I like that it allows for automation across an entire collection, but also that it&#039;s got it&#039;s own mpd-like player that you can use with mpd clients. BPD (presumably Beets Player Daemon) ties more tightly to the ID3 information in the tracks, which I like compared to the MPD way of handling things based on the folder.
