How to mount the loop device, I am getting below error.

root@slack:/mnt/attache# mount -o loop /mnt/attache/slack13rails.img /mnt/attache/slack13
mount: Could not find any loop device. Maybe this kernel does not know
about the loop device? (If so, recompile or `modprobe loop’.)

also I have changed the .config file CONFIG_BLK_DEV_LOOP=y
and recompile the kernel

make
make modules
make modules_inatll
make install

But unble to mount the device.
Please help me.

These are .configs stripped of all things unusable on normal desktop machines, just enable needed drivers and run it.

I have an rt73usb wifi chipset and ever since kernel 2.6.32, it has not worked properly. Upon further research, power management issues and conflicts turned out to be the main cause. Personally I use the kernels from http://liquorix.net…all the goodness without the effort ;oD
