I used to like vifm too, but I found that ranger does an even better job, while it looks better, and has a lot better documentation, so if you haven’t tried it out yet it’s really worth a try, and since it has the same keyboard shortcuts as vifm you’ll feel at home from the start And it has a lot of colours, I like colours

Sometimes I prefer to slowly cruise around the system…

Vifm is in my view one of the better hybrids between file manager and console. It’s simpler and from command mode it works better than MC (my opinion).

I guess it depends what kind of vehicle you’re trying to drive..if it’s a keyboard then the quote makes sense…if it’s a rodent then FM’s are a bonus.

That’s more or less what I have thought too, It’s even more true now when I use musca with terminals everwhere, but well, I have to say that if I am going to manage files, or look for something I prefer opening up ranger, I have emelfm2 and mc too, but I never use emelfm anymore, because the other ones are just so much more convenient, so my main is ranger, if I want to do something really esoteric I have mc there for the rescue, I think I will do a pacman -Rns emelfm2 right now nice, always nice to shave down on some things that I don’t use

I just wish that I had a bit more track over the packages that I do have installed, so that I could see what it is that I don’t use, but well I’ll just have to take them as I remember them, it’s just worse for things I don’t remember having installed
