I’m not an exceelent player, but I can help out with crawl, if you like— or if you’d like a gaming column dedicated to reviewing RLs and their design, take a look at @play. It’s not Linux-specific, but I like skimming it for new goodness. In particular, I’ve been trying the weird Japanese console knockoffs like Shiren the Wanderer. I’ve yet to try DoomRL, though.
