The 560e has 32Mb in it now, which is 16Mb built-in plus 16Mb found in the bottom of a box in a recycling shop.

The Debian installation I did with floppies and a PCMCIA network connection, so it started at etch and I bumped it up to testing. I’ve noticed that my Thinkpad won’t boot testing, for whatever reason. … :|

I’ve tried all the distros you’ve mentioned and for my time, Debian just trumps them all. INstall it lean or heavy, it’s up to you. No GUI? there’s everything for the console in the repos. IMO it is one of the best most rounded and well performing distros out there.
