You can $touch /etc/resolv.con and then $echo “nameserver IPOFYOURDNS” > /etc/resolv.conf….
And you surf the net

Indeed. Some more documentation would be nice! But of course, the project’s in a very early development stage, so I guess that’s too much to ask.

Been meaning to try stali for a while, and got here asking myself pretty much the same question.

Anyway, my guess is that the kernel is precompiled and all you have to do is reconfigure grub or lilo (it’s probably lilo, the mark of true fanaticism). I wonder how is the hardware support. I mean, other than minimal

Will update here if I get it to work, please do the same.

Thank you _so_ much for the link to stali. Having a similar disgust for bloat (and especially all of the GNUseless code in almost every modern distro), I recently started looking at building something similarly statically linked using the heirloom Unix tools (http://heirloom.sourceforge.net/) and diet libc (http://www.fefe.de/dietlibc/). Looks as though the suckless guys are way ahead — I’ll have a good play with what they’re up to.
