I would have liked to revert to the FF2 urlbar, but for some reason the Firefox devs removed that ability in about:config. Many are unhappy about this decision, including me. Just look at the comments for Bug 407836 – remove support for browser.urlbar.richResults. Now you have to hack around or use an extension, such as Old Location Bar, to help de-bloat AwesomeBar from FF3.

I think if I worked on faster machines it wouldn’t be as irritating. But like you say, to each his own.

I thought that was one of the best features of FF3. Heh each to his own I guess.
