Yes and no. Yabbadabbadont explained it in brief on the forums, here: http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=4125221&postcount=728 If it sounds like something you want to try, let me know how it goes. To be honest, without a test machine I'm not very interested in trying it, and since this K6-2 is pretty much anti-Arch, I may end up waiting for a while. And if I'm going to avoid udev, part of me thinks I'd do just as well to go without it altogether, and use a different distro.
