Out of fairness to Vista

Anyone who dislikes Ubuntu enough to write a scathing missive about it should give it nine months, just like Jim Louderback has with Vista. It’s only fair to Vista.

I’m impressed, really. I wouldn’t give Ubuntu nine months, if it had all the problems he describes, and ran as badly. I’ve thrown out distros for misbehaving on the first boot; I can’t imagine toiling with a loser for an entire human gestation period.

The sad part is, if Jim had started to learn Linux in January (I’m assuming he doesn’t have any experience with it, although that’s not necessarily true), he would be a seasoned Ubuntu rock star by now. And probably have a considerable bean count. ;)
