It was all for the love of jazz.
I know it’s not Thursday yet, but I hit a motherlode of really, really good jazz on Jamendo this weekend, and I feel obligated to share. Ahmet would have loved this stuff, even if Jamendo would have seemed counterintuitive to Atlantic Records.

Everything I’ve downloaded by Eau Forte has been exceptional. Very clean sounds, showing excellent improvisation without losing a sense of flow. Traditional jazz in the best sense, but not without a contemporary feel. I’m really looking forward to more from this group.
I’ll have some more by Thursday, including some contemporary jazz, some excellent blues and something that’s in between jazz, funk and blues. Ahmet would be thrilled.
