First Gutsy breakage

It took a little bit, but the GTK updates in Gutsy today finally rendered most of my applications useless. I always wonder how long it will take for a new release to prove unusable for me; two weeks is a pretty good run. I seem to remember Edgy breaking for me almost as soon as development began.

No problem. There’s very little I’ve seen yet in Gutsy that required an upgrade from Feisty, and stability is always nice. I honestly expected a kernel update to be the dealbreaker, so the GTK issue was a small surprise. It’s just as well. I was feeling the need for a reinstall. :D
