It’s not really an issue of trademark policy, nor is it being suggested under duress. As I understand it, the new name would have a scope beyond just the UbuntuME distro, and hopefully encompass more projects that apply to Muslim Linux users.

Regardless of religion… isn’t calling it ME bad marketing? (Though there’s also Windows CE and 98SE… though neither of those has the bad name of ME).
You know what, I had never even thought about that until now.
