I was looking for something that would complement the LookClear Openbox theme without looking forced. I decided a simple, clean, plain fade would best serve the purpose.
It starts a little too dark, but I wanted it that way. If I kept to the strict Clearlooks range of colors, it would seem overdone. This matches and accents the scheme, without mimicking it too closely and looking contrived … if that makes sense. 
That last paragraph makes a lot more sense if you read it to yourself with a snooty artsy accent.
