Using a bulldozer as a sports car

Since the PCI card I bought for the dual Xeon won’t play nice with the motherboard, and since I really don’t have a need for another high-end system that can’t play newer games, I’ve disassembled the 1600sc and the parts are up for sale. I suppose if you’re in the market, you could take a peek here.

It’s a little disappointing, but it’s only to be expected. It was fun to keep on hand and play with the idea of a dual-processor hyperthreading game machine, but with no viable video option, it wasn’t a possibility. It would have been fun, but it was never meant to be.

In retrospect, it was rather like using a bulldozer as a sports car. The two ideas just don’t really sync.
